Ingredients

Salmon

  • 4 fillets salmon about 5–6 oz each
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • tbsp harissa paste
  • 2 cloves garlic finely minced
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • ½ tsp lemon zest
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper

Lemon Yogurt Sauce

  • ½ cup Greek yogurt plain
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp parsley chopped
  • Pinch salt

Optional Garnish

  • Fresh parsley or cilantro
  • Lemon wedges

Equipment

  • Small mixing bowls
  • Zester or microplane

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, harissa paste, garlic, lemon juice, lemon zest, salt, and pepper.

  • Place the salmon fillets on the prepared baking sheet and spoon the harissa mixture evenly over the top of each fillet.

  • Bake for 10–12 minutes, depending on thickness, until the salmon flakes easily with a fork.
  • While the salmon bakes, stir together the Greek yogurt, lemon juice, olive oil, herbs, and a pinch of salt to make the yogurt drizzle.

  • Serve the salmon with a spoonful of the lemon yogurt sauce and garnish with fresh herbs and lemon wedges.
