- bay leaf 1
- pepper (ground) ¼ tsp
- tomato paste 2 tbsp
- soy sauce (reduced-sodium ) 1 tbsp
- balsamic vinegar ¼ cup
- all purpose flour 2 tbsp
- chicken broth (reduced-sodium, or vegetable broth) 2 cups
- lentils (brown, canned, rinsed & drained) 2 cup
